Killing it right now
I’m writing this in May, 2016.
Came across some weird stuff about Chuck Klosterman saying Radiohead’s KID A (released in October, 2000) sorta predicted the events of September 11, 2001, which I had never heard about before.
This theory has been around publicly since at least 2005, when Klosterman’s book Killing Yourself to Live came out. A dude named Alex Vassifer wrote this blog post a short time after that. I don’t remember how I came across it, but I read it on May 17, 2016.
Been listening to KID A all day today (the next day) and looking at related stuff on the Internet. There’s no reason to publish this post on May 18th, so I’m just going to queue it for September 11, 2016 (15-year anniversary of the event) and try to move on.
For a longer look at the track-by-track theory, check out this picture from here.

And, just for fun, check out an 8-bit version of the complete album below:
And, for even more fun, a full live version of the album:

Although I’m usually traveling during the summer and getting ready for school in August, I assure you that I am still listening to new music constantly. So now I have decided to compile my picks for best new releases over the summer into one post (and I’m even late with that!)
Anyways, it’s called Summer Silence, and here it comes…
